Rochelle Norris was a 25 1/2 year-old up-and-coming Heavyweight out of Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Rochelle, nicknamed 'The Roach', was a cool fast-handed boxer, who had earlier upset
highly-regarded and unbeaten Ohioan - Mike Koranicki back in November 1974.

Rochelle was a 'live' underdog, who many thought had the style and chin to possibly upset Earnie.
