I had a similar problem on tue. sparrin day at my gym. I bent at the wast and moved right into a left hook, freakin caught it in tha nose and thank god i never ended up like the man in the video clip....get at me dogg, I'd appreciate it.

maintain eye contact, see when Williams bent at the waist he was not able to maintain eye contact ,then when he came up he was lost, . he did not know that Peter's left was cocked and already in motion. BAMM ! never saw it.. a rule of thumb is never take your eyes of you opponent, so any move that would cause you to do that , don't ever do it. bending at the waist in a way that you can't clearly see your opponent is a no no . . Gamache got koed the same way when he made that mistake against Gatti . I would have bent at the knee and let the right hook shoot over maintaining eye contact and then shoot a visious left hook to the body , and pivot away while having up the proper defense . Peter over commits with that right hook, had Williams been in the proper position he would have several counters available to himthat would have worked brilliantly .

work on duck walks in the gym to train your legs learn to get low using your legs . never bend forward at the waist . And remember that the punches you don't see get you every time
