Hardest HW chins of all time

George Chuvalo! Never knocked off his feet in nearly 100 fights, fought Floyd Patterson, Muhammad Ali 2x, Oscar Bonavena, Joe Frazier, Jerry Quarry, Cleveland Williams, and of course GEORGE FOREMAN, and was never dropped. Best chin ever, that's some real shit!

Yeah I agree Chuvalo had a really hard chin. I don't know if it rates with later ones but it was certainly unbreakable for the day. I think he would have to have eventually dropped if the Foreman fight was allowed to continue but we don't know that for sure.

I think George Foreman himself had a particularly hard chin too.

I think Chuvalo would have knocked him the fuck out if the ref didn't stop it because Foreman was gassing hard and running out of steam, Chuvalo said he could hear George huffing and puffing hard and was going to wait it out.

Chuvalo could have made history but got fucked by a sissy ref.

Clay was basically wasted by a 185lb bum. I don't think he deserves to be rated among the hardest of hard chins.

He did however have a good beard. e took a lot of punches and a couple of hard ones too.

I think there are 2 classes of iron chins.

There are the WINNER+TOUGH guys with chins of iron like Marius Wach for example,

But then there is an even harder class of chin I believe, the ones often overlooked,

This is the LOSER+TOUGH guys.

These are the ones like Puritty and Wilson, who lose more fights than they win, get pasted in every fight from the first round to the last and barely ever get dropped/stopped against a who's who of HW elite for very extensive careers.

I fell these guys have to trump the winner tough guys because they are really little more than concrete punching bags.
