I have taken ear shots before and they hurt like hell, so it is possible that it was legit. Liston was 32 when he won the title so what's your point? Besides Williams and Foley who the heck were the rest of the bunch? Boxing has its anomalies and when Wilder fights I'm sure you will be watching as will most of us.
