Good for you. We have more than enough decent police officers here and I am very satisfied with how this country is policed. It is hands off and unless you are doing something seriously mad, you will be treated okay. Just yesterday I was driving and talking on the phone, out the corner of my eye, I saw the cop car next to me and thought 'Shit' and just dropped the phone on my lap. Either they saw me and realised I knew I was wrong and decided to leave it or they had seen it a thousand times that day another view wasn't going to change anything. It's how policing should be....only go after people who are likely to cause a serious problem. So what about a minor violation which seems to be the main focus of Western policing. Everything else can be managed with a chat and calming people down. No need for arrests or cautions just to meet targets.
