Roy Jones has commented a few times that alot of potential fighters are lured away to basketball & football for the million dollar contracts- so many of them make million dollar contract, but not alot of boxers make millions. In fact very few.

Look at the Super Six showcase done by Showtime- they got the best SMW's around, yet few peope know Andre Ward who won it.

Add on hip-hop culture that glorifies basketball & an American telivision industry ABC, CBS, NBC that doesnt show fights like they did in 70's Brent Mussberger to Howard Cosell to football legend Dan Dierdorff.

The fighters who make millions, do it by PPV and people dont have the money for it...especially handpicked fights that dont live up to expectations..meanwhile MMA bouts sellout across America.

If you dont have cable, boxing is hard to see, but the public networks showcase baseball, b-ball & Football.

End it out with amatuer programs that have been eliminated- boys clubs throughout America doesnt have the funding to produce like they did pre 1990's.
Eliminate the Hopkins & Qawi's who learned in prison- today they dont do it,
Add on the various nations across the globe that have taken to boxing.. so its kinda like we got hit from all directions.
