Is being 40 depressing?

I have 11 years to go but being the miserable git that I am it was only this morning I was moaning about how depressed about it I am.

Got the big 3-0 in 5 months. End of my youth. End of girls. End of drinking heavily and not being judged. End of life.

Ryanman, you aren't even 30! You are in the prime of life and are of the age of mental awakening. Sure, the body rots and appearance wilts, but you have the faculties and experience. Even 40 doesn't sound so rough with the correct insurance policies.

Michelin starred restaurant where i couldn't really eat as was too high already (met Charly in the afternoon)

My missus has a mate who owns a 10 bedroom seaview mansion house with 2 swimming pools, snooker room, plasma tv's everywhere and a dj booth so she swung that for me and invited about 40-50 people for a mad one.
