Some have respect for whos there in any era, some have respect for those who try.

Tall poppy syndrome occurs a bit too ,racial predisposition etc.

I suppose minimalist anything can thought of as masterful or dull.

In an ideal world, all of us followers of boxing would be fans of all professional fighters, simply because they are. In reality, we all have our likes and dislikes.... our pet peeves... fighters who rub us the wrong way for a variety of reasons... our own personal ideas on what makes a great, good, or average fighter.... our own notions of who ducks whom (if that in fact is ever the case).... you name it..... we think it.

That's my way of saying that none of us is above slinging mud at certain fighters once in awhile.
