Quigg is injured but yeah, I know what you mean. They are both young and talented enough to absorb a loss and still come back and win titles and draw a crowd to big fights. I can see it turning into another missed the boat Job, like the British Middleweights who ended up never fighting. Just across the water from each other too, what a missed opportunity.

Believe it or not I'm fully aware that Quigg is injured.
Frampton has just signed with a rival TV company. I assume it's not a one off deal? Quigg is a Sky fighter. Frampton is now an ITV fighter. Which means they will not fight anytime soon. Simple.

It doesn't say anywhere about future fights. I thought that Frampton had recently signed a deal to fight on Sky? Avalos is also promoted by Matchroom.
What I think has happened here is that ITV Won the bid for this fight . It went to purse bids and Sky probably got a bit complacent thinking it was theirs and ITV have jumped in.😃
I don't think it will have any bearing on a Quigg v Frampton fight happening or not.
I might be wrong, but that's how I see it.

Avalos is promoted by TopRank. Purse bids are for promoters. They happen when the sanctioning body order a fight but a deal can't be made. This fight didn't go to purse bids.
My point is - with Frampton fighting on a different network it doesn't make the Quigg fight any closer to happening. Great that Frampton is on terrestrial TV but not great for the Quigg fight being made. I'd love Frampton-Quigg.
