That's nothing. He has 3 months to lose 30-35lbs (the last 15 will be lost in the sauna, just like any other fighter). 30lbs of real weight over 3 months is nothing, then sweat out the rest. Canelo is going to be 165-175 before hitting the sauna too.

Agree, but still cant see any way this is going to be competitive. His style is perfect for Canelo. It will just be like the Angulo fight. An 8 or 9 round beat down before Kirkland quits or gets saved by his corner.

I agree, Canelo is obviously the clear favourite but Kirkland is no joke. He's never lost at 154 (or 155 in this case), the man hits hard with both hands and he won't back down or quit, so Canelo is going to have to get down and dirty to pull out the win. Has the makings of a great action fight.

I was reading how kirkland was on self destruct just a few months back. Seems like anytime there are fighters that show these tendencies they get close and the fucks it all up.
