The last thing I would expect to see is Floyd in a brawl, slugfest, all out war, or anything else resembling an out of control fight. That is unless it's outside of the ring. Lol.
I'm not saying he can't be forced into uncomfortable situations on occasion, but it would never be consensual. When Floyd is under heavy pressure, he goes into defensive mode. You are not going to see Floyd exchanging toe-to-toe, wether it's in a corner, on the ropes, or in the middle of the ring!

I thought Floyd had to fight to get his first title against Hernandez. And while Corley isn't a powerpuncher he isn't featherfisted either: Floyd didnt even try to box in that one, that was a very entertaining scrap.

The absolute last thing Floyd is going to do is let this turn into a slugfest. Floyd will use that laser right hand to counter everything Manny brings and Floyd's defence will do the rest. I don't think the fight will come anywhere near to the hype it's going to get. I can see Floyd doing a lot of spoiling.

Floyds chin is suspect and untested. It did get tested against zab and mosely, and we saw how he looking when they landed. Pacs chin is battle tested. Floyd doesnt carry the bombs toko pac, but pac does.

Pac ko if they slug it out.....which floyd will not

Yeah tested and it broke, he's been knocked out 3 times in his career. Floyd has taken bombs and has stayed upright every time, and when hurt (like vs Mosley) has always kept his composure and weathered the storm.

This is just hypothetical as I know full well it won't turn out this way.

I will say this though: If Floyd does indeed initiate the action and push Pac back (as he did against Mosley), it will cement his legacy. HOW Floyd wins is almost as important as him winning.
Manny... all day.... Floyd doesn't fire-fight. lol... he just doesn't have that in him. Never have I seen him in a firefight. Well, aside from the firefight he had with Oscar in some moments and the one he had with Emmanuel Augustus, both times he lost the exchanges.

With Manny's power, he will get hurt.

I agree!! Especially about Floyd not having that fire fight mentality and especially not now at the (self imposed) end of his career. It's just not who he is in the ring.

It's not adventageous for Floyd to straight up brawl with Manny, but I do believe he could fight an aggressive countering style like JMM did and I think Floyd would beat Manny if they fight in the pocket. Remember that Manny isn't a brawler or an inside fighter either, he utilizes a ton of movement, in and out, side to side, to get his offence off.

'aggressive countering style' Dude! That's who Floyd is, through and through and all over.
'fight in the pocket' Hell yeah, he's good at it and he goes to the body as well as anyone when he wants to.
Floyd does everything well in the ring, but the thing he does best is stay out of brawls!

It's funny and this is an oversimplification, but it seems like Marciano did his best work when things were on the edge, but Floyd is at his best when he's in total control. The brawler and the control freak, both undefeated.
    Boxing!, ugly, beautiful, and vexing!

I wouldn't exactly call Floyd an "aggressive" counter puncher anymore. In his earlier and mid career, certainly.
