You all are going on "it should have been announced yesterday" if they did nobody talks about it now after that Super Bowl. Announce it Wednesday and it is the only thing to talk about.

Perhaps it is gone. If it is everyone is guilty but nobody more than HBO. Showtime said "same deal as 2002" and HBO says no. There is no reason that HBO can't agree to the same deal.

There's obviously still things going on in the background, remember that this situation is not just a matter of negotiating Manny and Floyd, there's also a HUGE network negotiation that needs to happen between rival promotional companies as well as HBO and Showtime. There's a lot of shit that needs to be sorted out besides Manny and Floyd agreeing to fight. It'll get made though, there's way too much money for it not to. My guess is HBO and Showtime are still fighting over the % of promotional rights and PPV revenue.

Sure there is. Believe or not the guy (Ken Hershman) who was heading showtime sports before (1992-2011) is heading HBO's boxing now (2012-present). Somehow it must look Crappier from the HBO side.

They took the deal the first time because they knew Lennox wasn't going to lose to a washed up Tyson. This time around the shoe is on the other foot and they have the long shot fighter.
