I've watched and read a lot about the American Revolution. The only documentary in can recall hbo doing is the mini series on Adams which was fantastic. The history channel recently did a mini series but it was historical fiction and I turned it off after fifteen minutes. Although there are some great documentaries about the subject I would actually recommend hunting down some good books on the subject. One that comes to mind was called Patriots, the men who started the American Revolution. It is a very easy read but contained a lot of accurate information. It was not the most scholarly book I've read on the subject but probably the most fun.

Oddly, I've never read a book written from the Brit side of things, any of you limeys recommend one.

I'm currently reading another book about Auschwitz, I can never understand how that shit actually happened, but I'd like to get back to American history after that
