"Cherry picking".......... wow.
I'd be careful with that type of cherry picking. You don't want to reach for a cherry and find yourself with a lit cherry bomb instead.

Khan v Cotto would be an intriguing if not exciting fight.
Cotto lands a brutal left hook to the body and ends it.
Credit Khan if he takes it.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Because he's come up short, too short in the past. He got a title from an ageing Zab Judah and promptly lost it to Peterson, he then got another title shot against Garcia and lost that. To give credit to his handlers they have been trying to get him the mega payday fight with Pac or PBF, which they hope will get them some of their 'investment' back, but naturally there is zero public interest in that. So now as a last ditch he's hyping a fight with a 38 year old Cotto. He might as well settle for a career ending loss to Kell Brook as opposed to any of the above, at least the Brook supporters would get a crowd in.
I think so too. Khan would be busy, but Cotto used to hurt WW's and LWW's and that's all Khan is and he is a notoriously fragile one too. The Cotto jab is a strong one and as soon as Khan starts to doubt himself, the fight is on. It would perhaps be a bit like the Maidana fight except Cotto has a better boxing brain than Maidana and has beaten a lot of names.
Khan will win this fight in a shocking knock out of the over the hill Cotto
Miguel Cotto by UD, he's still got a good jab, he's got good power, and Khan is shaky vs the big punchers. I think Khan lasts the distance but I believe Cotto still has it in him to hurt Amir.
Just don't see the sense in this one. Just a glued together catchweight name event alone even though both are awash in challengers and top matches in their own house? I don't see Khan having anything for Cotto and almost seems a desperate shout out. Cannot see Khan taking a Cotto punch. The chin only deteriorates with a still very sharp puncher as does the instinct-need to stand your ground when a guy walks through your own.
It is desperate, he's trying to get Floyds attention through the fans. A win over Cotto might get the fans excited about a Khan vs Floyd fight.
The three guys who have given Cotto bad nights (I'm not counting Margarito) are Trout, Floyd, and Manny which are all speedy boxers like Khan. I think the new Khan (the Khan we saw against Collazo and Alexander) will give Cotto fits. That's why I pick Khan if the fight happens.
Am I saying Khan is on the same level as Manny, Floyd, or Trout? No! I'm saying his speed and newfound focus will get him past Cotto.
Cotto has a good variety of punches and a much improved right hand compared to early on, he moves well and uses angles, he'd stop Khan and early at that, around the 4th or 5th, I haven't seen Khan do anything that would give the impression that he'd be able to beat anyone above 140 (that is worth mentioning) much less a guy who is solid at 154, shit a fight against Provodnikov at 147 would be a toss up for Khan, and he has nowhere near the skill or IQ that Cotto has in the ring
