To me that is sad and a waste of talent. Greatness is so rare, push it.
Breaking B Hops record would be a good achievement.

People seem to lose sight of why such records happen. BHop used his reign to earn his status. He couldn't just pick big fights. His reign got him Trinidad and it got him DLH and then Bhop had the status to make big fights wherever. BHop lasted longer than he should have or he would have missed many of his big fights hanging out at 160. Think of BHops big fights
    Roy
    Tito
    DLH
    JT
    JT

    That's 18 years at Middleweight

Now let's look at the big fights in 9 years no longer tied to a division.

    Tarver
    Wright
    Joe C
    Pavlik
    Roy
    Pascal
    Pascal
    Dawson
    Dawson
    Cloud
    Kovalev

It seems he took 18 years to get a record. But once the record didn't matter is when the important fights happened. Call me crazy but I always thought boxing was about the fights.

GGG has made his position. He can get fights. It's time to make the fights. Everyone said the same thing last year "clean out 160" but nothing has changed. Are we going to do this again next year, and the year after? Someone please tell me when we get the big fights because I've been waiting for 5 years now
