Making quotes up again I see...
Actually no Mr. Brit,
Rocky did make that statement during a 1966 interview after watching Cassius
score a rough 15-Round Decision win over George Chuvalo.
Rocy Marciano >
"If the Ring was a 20' Square, the bout would have been horrible, and would not
have been entertaining."
"Put Cassius and me in a 10' x 10' Box, and then we'd have the place roaring."
I suppose you'll have a source to back that up? Youtube is full of videos, I'm sure you'll be able to fibd this interview and share it with us.
Rocky Marciano
"If we did fight."
"I would probably have to focus on Clay's forearms and biceps to sap his strength. I doubt
that I would able to catch him in the chin. He is very quick you know."
"If the Ring was a 20' Square, I'm not sure if I could catch him. He makes all those funny
moves by dodging and leaning. I would probably have to adjust my style. I know that he
wouldn't stand and trade with me, because that would be disastrous on his part."
"I could see him dancing and moving in circles all night long. Boy, that would be one
boring non-action fight."

"Decades after my death, an autistic old man with an Ali obsession will make up quotes by me and post them on the internet. Also, what is the internet?" ~ Rocky Marciano
Haha, did he really say that??!!
What a legend!!
I once considered this match, had Muhammad beating him, and still do considering a 1970's Ali but for a young 60's Cassius Clay, that could be a bit hasty.
If LHW Doug Jones can beat Muhammad, and if a LHW bum Henry Cooper can basically KO him with 1 punch, well, the floor is open for Rocky isn't it.
It could even come down to Muhammad only winning through a gift decision or farcial other result, just as in Ali's actual career![]()
"Enough with the games mate! Your messing with the Grand Master!"
Lennox Lewis
...of course he didn't say that.
Bill Paxton has a very strange habit of posting his opinions and trying to pass them off as quotes from other people.
He went as far as completely making up the outcome of a computerised fight between Ali and Max Schmelling complete with creepily fantasised descriptions if Ali being gruesomely punished and KO'd, before being completely exposed when I posted the ACTUAL dramatised radio broadcast recording of the fight (Ali knocking Schmelling down a few times and winning by a near shutout UD).
He appears to suffer from a severe case of Aspergers Syndrome, the symptoms all fit...
Obsessive
Goes off on tangents and doesn't pick up on social queues (ie: nobody is interested)
Unable to discuss anything
Detached from reality

Ali's career is the best ever.
Ali is a legend.
Ali fought and beat more great fighters than any other heavyweight ever.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
