agree that The Year - July= 5 months remaining
Then I thought the 6 was the month before July (so you'd take the number of the month before the date you are testing out)
Then the 2 was maybe the first digit of the "20"
so you add that 5+6+2 =13
then you subtract 7 either every time as it is the # of days in a week OR
you subtract that 7 as it is the number of the month you are in.

Now I shall try it with for example 9-11-2001 which was a Tuesday

3+8+1=12
12-7=5
5 is a Friday, which means I am doing it wrong.

or 12-9=3 then YES IT WORKS AS TUESDAY IS THE 3RD DAY.
