The fights are terrible! Even nodding dogs don't react as much as Stallone does when he takes a shot in the films.
Also, who the fuck would think it was a good idea to train in the freezing cold punching animal carcasses? Who would risk their job by letting their mate come in and ruin the meat they are supposed to sell?
Just cheesy rubbish.
I like the making of Balboa- Tarver & Stallone threw real shots at each other. Tarver had to lay back, because Sly was pretty swollen by the final take.
Side note: Stallone's Rocky IMO made pro-wrasslin' a household name, Not McMahon- Hulk Hogan became a phenom after Thunder Lips- McMahon was privileged as the NWA & AWA folded to the division Thunder lips went to WWWE. & B.A. Baracus (Mr.T)- man, Rocky the movie has done so much.
Yeah, the fight scenes were pretty cheesy, but how many boxing movies aren't cheesy?![]()
I agree most boxing film fight scenes are crap.
If I was making a boxing film id get real boxers, that look as close to the actors as possible and get them to spar hard.
Its the most important bit of the film and always ends up looking shit. Always pulled punches, massive over reaction to any landed punch. Never looks realistic.
Master you're a cockend
Rocky 6 (Balboa) was a good film. The end
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
When I was a teenager my order of preference was
4, 3, 2, 1 5
Now I'm older and recognize the merits of each film
1, 2, 6, 3, 4, 5
I would agree that 6 is for the more nostalgic fan
But fuck off anyway
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
