on espn really?
Cotto signs with Jay-z and Hov gets him a basic cable fight...?
I expected more from the 50+ former crack dealer. Pathetic!
much worse than done. This is not looking good for Miguel. I believe this could be his last fight. Why doesn't he step up and try to fight GGG
Jay Z and Haymon don't do business together. There is no hope for a Khan fight in my opinion.
I think Khan lights his ass up personally.

Makes sense since they are probably attempting to get into the network tv sweepstakes. Haymons PBC makes its debut this Saturday on NBC and now Jay Z has signed Ward and Cotto and senses the end of ppv also. From a fans perspective this is great.
Excellent, another good fight on regular TV. Like cotto, not sure about his chances against Khan but something I'd like to see.
No way will it be Khan on free TV it will be someone less special.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
ESPN?!?!? how demeaning for an "A-side" fighter![]()
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

I find it odd that people would complain about seeing boxing return to regular tv. It could very well get severely watered down over time or it could just as well go the other way and be a complete success. Shit, even something in between would be decent. These guys are obviously being paid well for their appearances so I'm not sure what the issue is. Is a boxing match only quality if its PPV? Thankfully PPV is going to go the way of the dodo bird and everyone in the business knows it. Perhaps not completely extinct but their buys will sink once a few individuals have rode off. The optimist part of me welcomes this shift and hopes it does well for selfish reasons. Having quality boxing back on regularly scheduled television weekly is long overdue on this continent. The cynical side of me never underestimates the ability of people to ruin a good thing.
Cotto better decide because he has one optional to make a mockery of the middleweight title. After that that Kazak guy gets his kick at the cat. My advice to Cotto is to vacate it now and not make the debut on Espn a farce of a title defense. Just fight Khan w/o the bling.
Yea, how is this a bad thingIf Haymons NBC card(s) get the ratings, and Cotto is in with a real opponent(I guess that's the question here), it could mark a shift to bigger and better fights on cable.
Highly doubt it's Khan, even aside from the whole Haymon thing why would he want to move up to 154 alreadyI read Lara was a possibility as well, though he might be under Haymon to, not sure. Not to many other guys out there, Kirkland would be a great cable opponent if he wasn't fighting Alvarez.
