What is it, with this, "Manny will win" movement that seems to be growing ?

Floyd wins and Floyds win easy.

It seems like all fighters when facing Floyd try the "You know I'm gonna make Floyd fight, if he thinks he can shoulder roll, and feint and throw a few punches and steal rounds and win on a UD, he's got another coming. I'm gonna be on this sucker like a leech, he's gonna feel like I'm handcuffed to him, if he throws one punch, Ima throw three, let's see what Floyd's made of"

But here's the irony, Floyd has looked his best against these guys, think of Gatti, Corrales, Hatton.

I'm telling you, if that Manny's plan, he's gonna get busted up and remember, Floyd is the bigger guy. I see an easy nights work for Floyd.
and here i thought imp was the #1 floyd nut sac holder........you moving in to take the sac.
To make it fair, they did not really train for Floyd

    1. Corrales was not in the best shape, he took Floyd lightly, his tactics was to land a solid punch

    2. Gatti, Gatti COULD NOT execute a proper training dedicated to beating a certain fighting style. All he did was to train hard like to any other fight and hope for the best.

    3. Hatton - again I did not see any HOMEWORK done for Floyd. Just go and pressure / slug

I really hope Roach would show Manny typical feints and baits of Floyd which even I can see just watching fights. So Manny will be EQUIPPED to deal with them. In this case, it would be a matter of speed and stamina: for how long and how well Floyd would be able to execute his tricks.

So Manny is on a par with Hatton, Corrales and Gatti now? Gatti was a warrior journeyman, Corrales a skeleton, and Hatton was good but destroyed by Manny. Manny is the best Floyd has ever faced hands down and Floyd has been looking the older of the two recently. I can see the bad blood making Manny want to put a beating on Floyd. How can anyone compare Pac to Gatti? Gatti was tough as nails but Manny is a different class of fighter.

There's a saying in Boxing that history proves is so true "A fighter can get old in the ring"

Some retire before this happens just like Calzaghe did after showing glimpses that his punch resistance was fading (Hopkins then Jones back to back)

Some go on too long and make fools of themselves just like Jones, Holyfield etc

Boxing History is littered with so many examples of this and is anyone seriously trying to say that Mayweather hasn't been showing Big signs that he's slowing down with every fight in the last 2 years and conveniently hand picking slow plodding fighters?

Pacquiao still has an incredible engine and speed, is also a southpaw and can still punch.

And comparing Gatti etc to Pacquiao is ridiculous.

This is Floyds toughest fight to date and he's taking it on at an extremely late stage in his career.

I have nothing but respect for him for taking it because i never thought he would not at this stage of his career but the advantages are largely stacked in Mannys favour.

Like is said i fully expect to see Manny stop Floyd inside the distance

Miguel Cotto did very well vs Floyd, his hands are slower, he's got a better jab, and more of a traditional work behind the jab technique but he tried southpaw here and there and Zab Judah had his moments vs Floyd and he's not on Pac's level either.

1 of 2 things happen, #1 Manny connects early and often #2 Floyd's defense is too good. The longer the fight goes the more you have to favor Floyd. I'm not saying Manny needs him out by round 2 or anything, but Manny does need to win the early rounds and at the very least score a knockdown if it goes the distance

I agree, People have not noticed that floyd was bullied around by maidana. The younger "pretty boy" version of floyd would have destroyed maidana, with no need of a rematch. THis is the older pot shot floyd. If Mannty fights like Manny then floyd is in for some shit. If manny fights like all the other floyd victims he will lose.

What yall think wouldve happened if zab and or shane couldve kept the same pace from rounds 1-5 to round 12? They both took it to floyd and gassed out. Everyone wants to credit floyds adjustments, but they fail to mention that zab and shane both pretty much stopped punching, same for oscar.

If manny realizes he can take floyds punches, and fights all 12 rounds I see manny taking floyd out. If manny gasses out early (which he never has!) Then I see floyd taking it on points.

Pac hasn't scored a stoppage in his last NINE fights, now hes gona KO Floyd? Wow.

If you think Pac has a shot on points then some kind of argument can be made for that but hes not gona stop Mayweather.

Pac took his foot off the gas vs Mosley and Margarito could have stopped both of them

Tyson is a fan of Pac, not of PBF.

Well wouldn't Pac remind him of how he fought in his prime? Pressure, fast hands, and big power?

Floyd should be able to counter Manny, but if the Pac Man gets an angle on him because Floyd's legs aren't as good as they once were* then it's going to get real interesting real quick

I agree with you. Re-watched the Cotto fight and boy did Cotto make him work. Floyd threw 687 punches, thats 57 per round which is alot more than Floyd's usual comfort zone of 30-40 punches per round.
Manny has a higher work rate than Cotto and doesn't slow down either so Floyd may not have such an easy night as some may think. But I do think Floyd will be too smart for manny and have him confused with counters, to then go on and win a UD.

Watching the smaller guys fighting Floyd, JMM couldn't catch him, so that got me worried a bit. But then, I watched Hatton and he did get Floyd few times and even rocked him once, I think it was on the 1st or 2nd round, but he took a lot of shot on the way. Offensively, Pac is better than both of them so I'd say he does have a chance. My only concern is that whether Pac still have his old punch resistance or did it go down after the great KO? If not, I think he will be in trouble but if he is still the same ol' pac, he'd at least give a good fight...
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

Yes you've got it. Floyd gives away early rounds lately. They are there for the taking.

Ill be very surprised if this fight does not go the distance, which favors Mayweather.
