Read what palmerq posted earlier, which makes this look even more awful. Apparently he only way the the door could have remained locked after an override code was entered, is if the pilot who left was manually denied access from coming back in. That surely rules out the possibility of a heart attack or something like that from the guy behind the controls. The plane apparently could have glided for much longer with total engine failure, and there was ample time to change course and look for a spot to land. Instead it went down rapidly in a straight line into the worst terrain it possibly could. It seems in this case nothing except for a suicide or hijacking would make any sense.
