I agree with you to some extent but what I said is true.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
At what point in a forum do grown men have to resort to this stupid name calling!
Some prefer pac and some prefer floyd, and some like both..get over it.
Makes no sense. Marquez is not a D level fighter. He was pfp elite for years Mayweather just struggled with Maidana so using the same logic he must now be a C level fighter. What exactly is the point of this grading system? Is there a rubrik I can follow? Or are you making it up as you go along?
Gandalf, if its easier for you let's leave the alphabet stuff at the door.
This should not be hard to understand.
Marquez is a legend and a great fighter.
Marquez will always loose against mayweather in the same way they fought AFTER floyds 2 year RETIREMENT.
Manny will always struggle with marquez and could easily get knocked out again like their last fight.
Maidan lost to maywayweather twice even with all the low blows, biting knees, and mma tactics.
Maidana vs marquez would be a good fight but at this stage of marquez career you would have to give the edge to maidana.
Can manny beat maidana? Who knows? Manny was too busy fighting two fighters who would get beat by marquez and maidana.
Now when is someone going to answer this question...out of the common opponents that floyd and manny have fought, which one has had the easier path and you can even give them a nice grading if you want?!
Remember manny fought hatton, Moseley and oscar AFTER floyd..come on, let's hear it!
I think arguing over who has fought the better opposition is kind of pointless, as I believe both guys can beat each others opposition (apart from Canelo, I don't think pac beats him but that's a whole different topic) and that is what makes his fight so intriguing. The two best fighters of this era, who can hypothetically beat everyone and the only test is the other guy. So instead of arguing and throwing insults we should have civilised debates and appreciate these two guys because a fight like this wont come around for a long time.

Agree with everything on here except the Canelo part. IMO, Pacquiao beats Canelo even worse than Floyd did. All Floyd did was humiliate Canelo and make him whiff more times than a 90-year old grandmother swinging at 95-mph fastballs. But there was relatively little punishment coming back the other way. Pac would not only further humiliate Canelo with his speed, but he'd inflict damage. Think Martinez-JCC Jr. on a slightly smaller scale.
Good point. I can see that happening but pacquiao is so easy to hit with right hands and that makes me think that a guy of Canelo's size would be able to KO pac if he landed. Bradley was able to hurt Pac with a right hand, Marquez nearly decapitated him, and Canelo is bigger and hits harder than both so I don't see it being a comfortable night if that fight had happened.

There's always the possibility Canelo could hurt Pac if he catches him clean. But let's consider a few factors. Beginning with Pac himself. I have to believe Pac would alter his style against a big, hard puncher such as Canelo. He's not going to go hell-bent on Canelo like he did against Marquez, which in turn led to his KO loss, JMM catching Pac coming in perfectly. In the past, when Pac has been in with a big puncher, he uses his boxing skills a bit more and is less reckless in his attacks. Not comparing Canelo to either Margarito or Rios.... but look at how Pac boxed and avoided getting hit against these two. Margacheato may be slow as molasses... but Rios is a busy, pressure-type fighter. Pac managed to avoid Rios's rushes with hand and foot speed.... and proceeded to give him a boxing lesson. Which leads me to point # 2. Canelo is notorious for his slow workrate. He normally sits back, waiting for the action to develop in front of him. He's not a swarmer. This also would work in Pac's favor. Pac would use his (vastly) superior speed and boxing skills to pot shot Canelo all night long.
Boxing's very unpredictable, so basically anything's possible on any given night. But IMO Canelo got exposed by Mayweather.... and fighting another elite fighter would only serve to add an exclamation point to that sentence.
