Do boxers hesitate to take a knee knowing that is necessary at times but since is unpopular they decide not to do it?
What is your take on this?
My take is if you take a knee your a pussy, If your are a championship caliber boxer, you should be ready for ANYTHING when you get into the ring. Fighters are getting paid to win. Not necessarily lay their life on the line, but they should do anything, and everything possible to win. If you can win safely then I don't have a problem with it, but if you need to lay it all on the line then I think you have to.
Cotto gave up. I've seen fighters take way more punishment and not give up. I mean watch Tua-Ibeabuchi, Ali vs Frazier, Holyfield-Quawi, Holyfield-Tyson.
FIghts like Roy against Glen Johnson, he didn't take a knee, but he was a real man because he didn't give up, he fought until he was KTFO, Same with Tyson against Lewis or Holyfield, even though he had quit long before the end he still stood in there and took what was owed to him.
