War movies are usually very hard to make uninteresting or just plain horrible....Thin Red Line wasn't all that good, Pearl Harbor wasn't good...but Saving Private Ryan...that movie was cool as hell!

Dirty Dozen, Longest Day, Great Escape, Bridge Too Far...anything where the Nazi's get their asses whupped is going to be good

Pearl Harbor tried to make the Japanese look honorable by blowing up all our boys with a surprise attack...bravo, let's make a movie making the US look AWESOME for dropping 2 nukes on your asses!
