This is exactly how I see it, before moving up or down (if he can do it) he should fight the best in his own division. I understand why Cotto doesn't want any part of GGG , what I can't understand is why there are fans who don't want this fight to happen, it would be a unification bout, like you already said, for the undisputed middleweight champion title.

I also don't understand why the same fans who pretendd Cotto is to small for GGG bring Ward in this topic, actually I think there are three categories of boxing fans:
- Golovkin haters : they mention Ward because he's probably the only real threat for GGG at this time.
- Golovkin fanboys : they don't want GGG vs. Ward for the same reason I mention above.
- The real boxing fans : they don't mind to see that happen at some point but they understand this is a fight that doesn't even make sens for GGG at this moment.

Floyd vs GGG is acceptable only at 154 (if Golovkin can make the weight safely) , no catch weight and no 160 Pb. I don't want somebody to call Floyd a D level fighter for GGG in case he loses it.
