Bit of a joke in my opinion. Hearn is blatantly putting Joshua on promotions just to pad them out a bit and get some interest going. Joshua is past the stage of padding his record and getting fights for the sake of it. He's got a very decent opponent only 3 weeks later, he would be better off focussing on that.
This is exactly the sort of thing that gives critics ammunition and will put people off Joshua and Hearn . Joshua needs tests in every fight from now on.
btw, this is no disrespect to the guy Joshua is fighting, I'm sure he's a very sound, durable pro, but Joshua needs to be picking guys off rated above him , not below.

I personally don't think he should fight at this date and wait for the Johnson date. Not even worth risking the injury. But Joshua is needed for the date with Gavin pulling out and Hearn still wanting to sell tickets.

Can't see how this is in his best interests.
Sure it will probably be fine but why risk injury?

The Anthony Joshua tour of Britain continues.
I'd sooner see him fight than not fight, even though it obviously wont be competitive. Means nothing but it is another win and bit more experience. As long as fights Johnson....
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
well most brazilian fighters are pretty terrible, usually have padded records fighting other overweight bums in there country.
It may seem like a decent record, but im guessing this guy is no better than Costa Junior.
AJ knockout round 4 or 5.
i saw he went the distance with charles martin who is a pretty decent fighter, maybe im being too harsh.
Just noticed Callum Smith is on the bill as well , against TBA. I know he's been injured, but he's not going to get a test either. Callum is one of my favourite fighters, but he also needs to be moved along quicker and keep the momentum going.
