Joe Louis
Internal Revene Service
Joe Louis, under improper business advice fought many 'Charitable Bouts' for the
United States Military Relief Fund.
Bad Advice #1
Instead of having a contract drawn up where Joe fought for 'No Fight Purse'. They
were written with Joe receiving a 'Fight Purse' {earned income}.
Bad Advice #2
Then after receiving the Fight Purse, Joe would take out for 'his expenses', and then donate
the rest towards the Military Relief Fund.
Bad Advce #3
This money was 'correctly' listed as earnings, when in fact Joe earned 'nothing' for the
Charitable Event, except expenses.
Bad Advice #4
The more 'Charitable Events' he fought in, further in the hole he dug himself.
Bad Advice #5
Who is to blame here.
It is sad, but true his accountants didnt do him right. There names have faded- kinda like the dude that whacked Nancy Kerrigan's leg. Today we only know of Tonya the kneewhacker Harding.
Same here. We see Joe as to blame, when he placed his best interest in demons who have turned ghosts. We don't know these assclowns who had a responsibility and fucked over an American champ.
What is even more saddening is the subjective response from Paxtom- Yes he fucked up alot of his money, but you negated to balance it with what he did right:
Louis voluntarily paid back to the government welfare payments his stepdad got during the Depression. This is about as relevant to the IRS as that statement about golf course line. At least now its is balanced.
He bought needed uniforms for a group of black army officers, but why would the Army or Government give a damn about that? About as much as Paxtom does. Louis at heart was a conservative & wanted private citizens to do for self, He resented President Roosevelt’s programs that he felt caused dependancy on government & not self.
Louis gave his entire $65,200 fee (about $700,000 in today’s money) to the Naval Relief Fund.
He gave $45,882 purse from the other fight (about $500,000 today) to the Army Relief Fund Paxtom mentioned. Enlisted as a private, earning only $21 a month.<<-This is a An American Patriot.
When the war ended, the taxes he owed kept growing,(bullcrap- to allow interest to build) so the IRS wouldn't let him deduct the two fight purses he had donated.
Wouldn’t let him deduct $3,000 worth of tickets that he had bought for soldiers to one of those fights. & the % compounded each year, into seven figures during the 1950s. Damn, they couldn't say- here is what he owes from a war that ended in the 1940's? Let the shit grow like pubic hair on a well shaved vagina.
Joe was there for his government, for the people and not only was his accountants anal fudgepakcers, but so, too was every F'in man of brass (officers) who saw this shit and did nothing about it.
