Mayweather Sr thinks his son should retire after beating Manny

Floyd Mayweather Snr has backed his son to beat Manny Pacquiao comfortably next week, but said he wants him to hang up his gloves afterwards.
Mayweather Snr, who fought in his youth and now trains his son, has written off suggestions that the May 2 bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena is an era-defining clash and described the Filipino fighter as just another opponent.
'This era is closed. It's done. Pacquiao is done. He needs to be locked up in jail because it's time to save his a**. Pacquiao needs to lock himself up,' he told the Sunday Telegraph

ESPN's little round table of navel gazing assholes 'The Sports Reporters' aren't planning on watching Floyd vs Manny.

Host John Saunders saying “Because of his history with domestic violence if the cable companies came to my home, paid me to watch the fight, and hooked it up and gave me surround-sound they could not get me to watch this fight with this guy.”

and Liberal Leprechaun Mike Lupica said “I’ve watched plenty of rich, talented meatheads in my career, but if there were an unofficial competition of the all-time champion of them, Floyd Mayweather is the winner before he even steps into the ring next Saturday night.”

And of course although he's not on 'The Sports Reports' he IS working at ESPN again, Keith Olbermann is also NOT watching the fight.

Same guys who were oh so happy when Michael Sam got drafted, and oh so happy when Tim Tebow was damn near blacklisted from the NFL, and they rallied together to keep Rush Limbaugh from owning a part of the St. Louis Rams.

It's shit like this coming from these assholes who NEVER played sports which irritates me. Did Mayweather treat women wrongly, HELL YES....but these guys NEVER EVER EVER said the same thing about Mike Tyson! They never said it about Ali! They never said it about Foreman! Why is Floyd so different?

Roach claims the time has come to put Bully Mayweather in his place

After four rounds of sparring, working the mitts and a light workout, Fighter of the Decade, eight-division world champion and boxing superhero Congressman MANNY "Pacman" PACQUIAO (57-5-2, 38 KOs) completed his final day of training camp at Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, Calif. on Monday.
From there the Pacquiao caravan, including a luxury bus festooned from stem to stern with Manny's image (photos attached) , began its trek to Las Vegas for Fight Week, celebrating his May 2 welterweight world championship unification battle against undefeated FLOYD "Money" MAYWEATHER JR. (47-0, 26 KOs), at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
"Our long international boxing nightmare will soon be over," declared Hall of Fame trainer World-Famous Freddie Roach. "Boxing has been held hostage by Floyd Mayweather and his antics long enough. Manny is going to stand up to Floyd on May 2 and put a bully in his place. On paper – and in the sports books – Manny shouldn't stand a chance. But neither did David against Goliath.
"Just remember, Manny has always come out on top when he was the underdog and you don't have to look any further than his victories over Ledwaba, Barrera and De La Hoya. As Manny said earlier, 'It is time for Floyd to lose.' Manny is on a mission. This fight is his crusade. The fans of the world are rooting for Manny to win just like they willed this fight to happen. He is their champion. This will be their victory."

Default Re: Floyd Mayweather JR / Manny Pacquiao - NEWS STREAM -4 am start for Brits

The fight will start at approx 4 am for Brits watching here

"The doors for the arena will open for spectators to make their way in at 2pm local time, with the first fight taking place an hour later. The main event, Mayweather vs Pacquiao, is currently listed for an 8pm local time start, but as always with these events, it could indeed be pushed later if the majority of fights on the undercard go the distance.
With regards to British time, the main event is set for a 4am start. Plenty of coffee and energy drinks at the ready if you are staying right through!"

Last week, Floyd Mayweather made waves when he told ESPN's Stephen A. Smith that he's better than Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard. "No one can ever brainwash me to make me believe that Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali was better than me," he said. "No one could ever brainwash me and tell me that."

A few days later, TMZ caught up with George Foreman, who responded to Floyd's claim, siding with Money Mayweather, saying, "Pound for pound, Floyd is better than me and Muhammad Ali ever were," he said. "This is a better generation by far," Foreman said. "They're smarter, they're stronger, they're overall just better fighters." But what does Ali think?

Earlier today, we finally got Ali's response through Twitter.

That "Don't you forget" line isn't just intended for Floyd, it's for anyone else doubting Ali as the greatest ever. *cough Foreman cough*
