Hard to see Mayweather win and the fight being exciting really. I cant even see Manny really hurting or shaking Floyd, its not like hes the biggest puncher Floyds fought.

I think that boxing fans will enjoy it and no doubt will get to see a good tactical chess match (for what its worth I think that Manny will start off strong and by the end of the 3rd or 4th round Mayweather will have sussed him out and will win on points)

The casual fan is a different matter altogether, they are going to be expecting bombs to be thrown with blood and snot flying around the ring for the entire fight, I actually asked a kid that I work with who he thought was going to win and he said Manny, I asked him what other fights he had seen him or Floyd in and he said he had never watched them before. Don't ask me how you can form an opinion on who is going to win if you have never seen either of them but that's what this fight has done, its peaked the interest of absolutely everyone.

Knee Jerk reaction is 3/2 chance of the fight being boring. I think for it to be boring fight, Floyd would have to dominate and stay on the outside. I don't think Floyd has the legs to do that with a fighter that has the quick feet Manny has. The other thing that Floyd can do to make this a boring fight is a lot of holding.

    Agree with all of that.

Most people watching wont know what they are watching and will expect something Rocky-esque.

Personally, there is no way this fight will be a let down. The fact that it is taking place and history is being made is enough for me.

If boring means it will be one sided then I don't mind because I love watching these guys doing what they do and appreciate the skill on display. It will take a lot of skill to make it a shut out so it will be amazing to watch. But for the casual lot I can see it being boring if Floyd dominates but Pac is fast enough to keep it interesting all the way.

It was the same with Froch and Groves, whilst I love seeing everyone get hyped over a fight it does get pretty annoying when they all of a sudden see themselves as experts, I was talking to one kid about it who continuously called Froch 'Frok' I could normally look past that but he was chatting so much nonsense I had to walk away from him.

I simply can't see how the fight ..... Or any fight ..... Can live up to the hyperbole surrounding this one.

Also, I really don't see Manny coming out going ho on this one. He got caught rushing in by Marquez and Floyd is at his best when people rush into him. I think Mannys traditional style plays into Floyds hands. Styles win fights and Floys has the style to beat Manny.

I suspect Roach knows this. Floyd doesn't throw many punches and Manny has a great engine. Floyd is a defensive wizard and he has a good chin, so Roach should be training PAC to fight like he did against Margarito. Fast feet, in and out, high volume of punches per round, don't rush in and wary of being countered coming in. PAC could out point Floyd by being seen to be the aggressor, but by winning on work rate. I hope he can walk that tightrope for 12 rounds without getting too macho about it.

And then .... never underestimate the capacity of Vegas judges to get the wrong result. I wouldn't be surprised to see a controversial draw or silly decision here.
