    Default The day has come

they are both old at this point, pacquiao is pretty badly shot, but still...

sometime in like 2007/8 i said that i thought pacquiao was the one guy that i was positive would beat mayweather, and at the time it seemed absurd because he was still a lightweight. i believed that to be the case until about 2013 when i pretty much lost interest in this fight. i now feel that pacquiao is far too gone to have a serious chance, but still... still i will watch the fight

You are a true believer or a day dreamer because you can not turn back time and form that you had many years ago. Age gets to us all.

Floyd is older and looked more worn against Maidana. Pac has been fighting fast young fighters like Algieri and Bradley. Pac is unlikely to throw a hundred punches a round, but if he can just be busier, then he can win his fair share of the rounds. It reminds me a lot of Calzaghe/Hopkins. Both a bit old, but still excellent and the speedy high output guy should win.

Also great to see you back, Sal. Was wondering what became of you just the other day strangely enough.

Pac wouldn't go near a guy like Maidana.

Pac is the more worn...he's been knocked smooth the fuck out..and was wobbled by featherfisted Tim Bradley.

i dont spend much time on forums or anything anymore, but i figured with all the time i wasted here in the past it didnt make sense not to post something about this fight, even tho i think its way beyond the point of being meaningful its still mayweather pacquiao

the reason i always thought pacquiao would win is the way mayweather usually reacts to getting hit with straight hands. he usually backs up to the ropes and covers up and waits for the other guy to stop throwing, and i lways felt that pacquaio just landing 7-10 punches on mayweathers arms would steal a bunch of rounds. i dont see that happening tonight

They're both in damn good form IMO with Floyd looking the worse for wear lately. Both are at least 80% of their best.

This is going to be a very exciting and interestung fight. The stakes have never been higher!

    I'm on the fence!

The straight right hand of mayweather will be key as manny jumps in.

If it doesn't bother manny too much that is! Manny needs to move like he did against Oscar and Hatton. Those floating hornet type movements alone and shit a man up.

    well, that era is over...

and like i said pacquiaos best moments were when he landed a straight and mayweather backed up to the ropes and covered up and let pacquiao throw unanswered punches at his guard

i think 2009 pacquiao wins, but it is done...

anyway im more excited about kirkland alvarez - i heard kirkland fired anne wolfe tho so he will probably get blasted but it should be intense while it lasts, kirklands been my favorite fighter for a while now

First, if they thought they would win they wouldn't have pulled out of the fight the first time.

Second, no version of Pac beats Floyd. You don't beat Floyd without a jab.
