I apologize to all. I read a quote from the NSAC saying they didn't know about the injury and that there was no request for a shot. But it turns out there was a request for the shot. It was denied because they hadn't been informed of the injury.
Seriously sorry for spreading misinformation. Can't trust quotes until you see context these days. I will not make that mistake again.

Bad socks
Bad calf
Bad hand
Bad shoulder
I knew this would happen. The fight could not be anymore clear and definitive and still, from nothing something derives.
You knew the excuses were going to come out from whoever lost, because the stakes were so high for this fight. Neither guy was going to concede a clean defeat, there was always going to be some excuse made.
The fact is most people felt Floyd dominated the fight and won by a wide margin, there's NEVER going to be a rematch because people won't pay to see it again. This was a one-time only deal, winner takes all the glory, and he fell short.
He says his right shoulder was hurt, but he still managed to throw almost 200 jabs with it, and I saw a lot of straight rights and right hooks from him. And if your right shoulder was fucked up... why couldn't you land your big left hand with any consistency? His right hook is good, his right jab is mediocre, and his left hand is his money hand.

If Floyd lost he would have said his hand was hurt. Losers generally make excuses.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
So maybe they want a rematch? not sure that will go anywhere.
I'm sure if his shoulder was injured we would have hear Roach ask him in the corner about how it feelsLike with other fighters that have injuries you hear the corner asking how does the hand feel etc.
