Exactly. Fighters don't have trouble closing the distance on him. Most pressure fighters do it to him, but they don't know how to consistently land on him once they got close, nor do they know how to land on him at range, or when he is in the pocket.
He should have had a plan for what to do once he got close to Floyd. Relying on a 'declining' element of your opponents skill set is just poor for a top level trainer.
A better plan would have been to just focus on volume like he did in sections of round 4 and 6. But because of Floyd's brilliance, he couldn't maintain his output.
