How is Floyd the highest paid athlete if he's so boring?
It's amazing how far people will go to discredit Floyd. After doing exactly what I predicted he would do in the fight, people have to use the "boring" excuse. Seriously? That's all you got? Have you not seen Floyd fight before. I could have told you it would be boring for most people. Every sport has to have a variety of styles and not every style can be exciting. The point of a sport is to win first and foremost. Not to entertain. It's obviously entertaining enough though because Floyd got tons of cash for putting on a fight. So some people have to find entertainment in his fighting.

Who's discrediting Floyd?
No one can take away what he's achieved, but you can be of the opinion that his style is boring to watch. If you like aggressive fighters who are prepared to get involved in a good scrap, you probably won't find Floyd entertaining... which I don't. He bores me and his style is what made last night's "disappointment of the century" the boring, forgettable overhyped rip off that it was.
In my opinion of course.

TODO list fot Pac:
1. Fire Freddy
2. Hire Robert Garcia
3. Heal his shoulder / ass / whatever
4. Throw 600 + at least in the rematch
..
X. Ah, actually get the rematch
I think Pac is not that bad, but yeah Freddie has declined clearly

Beanflicker, couldn't have said it any better. Pacquiao is shot. He couldn't do shit after all the hype and clowning he did before the fight. He threw more punches during the foot locker commercials.
I like some fighters but I watch fights because I wanna see a fight. I wasn't even rooting for anyone to be honest. I just want a fight. A master boxer against a brawler. I was sold on the premise that Pacquiao will bring it and will take Floyd out of his comfort zone therefore he has to dig deep and fight fire with fire intelligently. Didn't fucking happen. Floyd cruised like he always do and no one should blame him. Pacquiao is to blame. We all know he's going to lose with that pace. It appeared he was just contented the fight happened and he's getting the $120M.

Wait which is it give Floyd credit or be ddisappointed in Manny? With such a poor performance from Manny should have been all over him, bbut Floyd showed him way too much respect so they both deserve to be shit on.

He Who Is Brave Is Free
Wisdom, compassion and courage are the three universally recognised moral qualities of men.
Floyd won the way he wanted to win: very easily, at a slow work rate and sustaining very little damage.
Manny is the guy who throws a ton of punches, hits hard and fast, knocks guys down and/or out, and overwhelms them with his blinding combinations.
One of those guys fought his fight, the other didn't. And the guy who didn't, lost.
If you're not understanding why Manny didn't throw as many punches as he normally does than there is a large gap in your knowledge of boxing that needs to be filled. You need to go study up, and I mean that with all due respect.

Here's a great video that broke down why JMM gave Pac fits and why Pac wasn't as effective as he normally was. A lot of the same principles apply with Floyd, especially in terms of controlling the range.
A boxer always wants to fight in the way that has landed him success in the past. If he's not doing that, then more often than not it's his opponent that is doing something to prevent him from fighting his fight.

Your putting way too much into the analysis of Floyd and Manny. I could easily just say they were both scared, but it's way more polite to say they had too much respect for each other. They did more posturing than punching. Too much thinking instead of fighting. They weren't forced, lead, tricked or trapped. They both have more than enough athletic ability to get over technical shit, but the hype got stuck in their heads and they both dumped. Pacific a little more of a fail than floyd.

This first sentence I agree with to a point. Floyd was not in complete control here. He was sub standard to what we have seen him do in the past. I've watched Floyd stop many attacks in his fights making them pay but that was not happening in this fight. You can probably count the number of landed punches on your fingers and nothing did anything substantial. You going to debate that this was a masterpiece of Floyd's in the ring. Get over yourself. It was a shit performance from both fighters clearly. Manny and what he can do and what he did do are two different things. He looked delusional about what he was getting done. I'm thinking he was hearing the crowd which was largely pro pacquiao.
