Shares are gambling and I hate gambling too risky.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Yes,Tesla was up five bucks today when I last checked. You are right, I'm late to the party but I've been saying that since it wAs at 70. Still think it will do well although I think it is over valued.I just need to make some moves. Normally I'm a buy and hold guy but I have too many that have been moving sideways. I also think Tesla May split soon, if it keeps up its current pace. Apple just bought back a lot of shares, usually a good sign for a company.

Those batteries dont add up to the answer for all people as yet. They may work for the rich who can afford a few and get off the whole grid . When you look at them for real you can buy kilowatts a lot cheaper than their total output, initial cost and considering night time and winter etc. They have mentioned $3000 for one unit and its got the market excited and people want in,but there are hidden costs including installation, then maintenance and eventual replacement. That battery will not quiet run the whole house of appliances either.I think maybe in reality unless you are a desert dweller in full sun, you'd need a few of them and maybe a back up wind generator and a conventional generator too.
Certainly true Andre, but in places like Hawaii where electricity is over .40 per kilowatt hour and Midwestern states or Florida where Sun is plentiful you hook one of them babies up with solar panels and you can live off the grid. The technology will only get cheaper overtime. Tesla won't be the only company making them but at this point I'm only looking at the stock. Tesla is on the rise for its future, not its current standing, when you look at the numbers it is very overvalued but I think there is enough confidence in the company to keep it rising for a time. Granted, I also risk losing money but I'm not going to put so much in that I can't sleep at night. Might even look at futures. Also, in the US we get very nice in tax incentives for going green. I received 2,000 from the government for putting in a 3,500 heat pump in one of my houses.
