well my favourite types of music is country, 60's and 70's stuff and a bit of blues
the best live shows I have seen though would be
Spiritualized - The Sage (Newcastle) - 19 December 2009
Absolutely amazing gig this was, the sound in the venue is second to none, they played the entire Ladies and Gentlemen album, the sound was brilliant the set list was brilliant the athmosphere was brilliant the whole gig was awesome, to top it off they finished off with a version of silent night backed by a full choir walking out of the venue with it heavily snowing was great
The Stone Roses - Heaton Park (Manchester) - 30th June 2012
The one comeback/reunion tour that I had been waiting years for and it didn't dissapoint, I was at the second day there, Beady Eye, Pro Green (who I had never really heard of before) and Damian Marley were the support and they all hit the mark, it had a real feel of a mini festival there.
When the Roses themselves took the stage the place went wild, even Ian Browns vocals were decent, well worth the wait and it was almost worth the 9 mile walk back to the hotel afterwards
Nick Cave - The Sage (Newcastle) - 29th April 2015
Last Wednesday this was and again I will mention how great the venue is, its a bit of a ball ache travelling all the way to Newcastle (from Birmingham) but I'd much rather do that than hear it in a substandard venue, Nick Cave was on top form though, great bit of banter with the crowd, great selection of songs, the band were great (special shout out to Warren Ellis) Nick Cave was almost upstaged by a pissed up Geordie that he invited onto the stage to sing with him at the end of the show as well.
This gig is going up there although I know it is a recent gig but it is still fresh in my memory and I said as soon as I came out that it was up there with the best I've seen
I also need to mention the two times I saw Steve Earle at the symphony hall in Birmingham, both of those gigs were awesome
