I don't agree,I think he is an ok fighter,he got schooled in his last fight,was 1-1 with Johnson,the only real decent challenge(RJJ was pathetic in their fights except the first mabye) and considering those points,he has an awfully loud mouth. He was put in his place by B Hop,en of. Why would he want a rematch,why would Hop give him one? He has limited boxing skills too so I really don't think he is that good anyway but his personality makes him even more obnoxious!

Actually RJJ looked a hell of a alot better during their 2nd fight, until Tarver landed that punch Jones looked much sharper and was outboxing him with ease.

u cant say for sure if he would of outboxed him for full fight remember fight only went 2 rounds

I didn't say that, but RJJ was not, "pathetic" in that fight like he said... He had a dominant first round and looked sharper than he had in the first fight.. Your right though, maybe he was just expending his energy early rather then late and paid for it, you really cant say for sure, but for my money Tarver landed a lucky punch and Jones could have beaten him easily in that shape.

Being a Jones fan & an admitted Tarver hater...I also view it as a lucky punch...but it was enough to do the job.

I think that Tarver has an edge on Jones mentally. I was thrilled with what he did against Badji...but he aint Tarver or even tip top...or even third tier competition...Jones next fight should be his last IWO.

Well yes and no... I think RJJ in the first Tarver fight struggled only with his physical condition, due to the weight loss... As for the 3rd fight, you already answered the question really... It's all mental, he was in fine shape. Tarver gained the mental edge on Roy after KOing him, I don't think he had that mental edge whatsoever going into the 2nd fight, and that's why Roy looked great for all of a round and a half.... Roy was totally gunshy in the 3rd fight, his physical shape didn't even come into play really he didn't have any confidence. I think the last time Roy entered the ring in great shape physically and mentally, was when Tarver KOed him.. Lucky shot or not, Ive always given Tarver credit for that KO, he ruined Roy... Coming down from Heavyweight isn't what did it, that's all Im trying to say by pointing out how good Jones looked in the 2nd Tarver fight, he wasn't permanently drained or whatever as some people think.

Tarver tried to make a legacy off the backs of fighters who already secured their legacy rather then trying to make his own light heavyweight legacy by fighting Briggs Adameck Woods and etc
