Master I've seen all the greats of past and for me personally floyds the best. He's not only beat everyone out there and there's a lot of great fighters he's faced, he's made every single one of them look average. I know a lot of people discredit his 0 but when does it start to mean something![]()

See that's the problem with now vs past your saying you guarantee they would beat floyd when it's impossible to say, so it's pointless these type of conversations that's why I always say in my opinion he's the best ever.
Also was watching a lot of interviews last night on YouTube I never realised Oscar made floyd use 10oz gloves. Maybe it's been talked about before and I just missed it but would like to see people's views on this, having boxed myself going from 8 oz to 10s is a noticeable difference.
Yeah it's all just opinion. Most people can't predict boxing fights that actually happen now with any consistent accuracy, let alone present vs. past fights. It's an unpredictable sport.
The way I feel about Mayweather... I've never seen anyone as technically brilliant in the ring as Mayweather. That's something that gets lost in these discussions a lot of the time: actual in-ring ability.
People use a lot of techniques to discredit Floyd and it all stems from things other than in-ring ability. A lot of logical fallacies in there. People point to the fact that he never had a rival as proof that he's not that good, when all that probably means is that he was too good for anyone to compete with him. Or the fact that he's always the favourite in his fights, which just makes sense because when you're that dominant people are going to make you the favourite. The fact is, if Floyd vs GGG at 154 was announced tomorrow, I bet you any money that Floyd would be the slight favourite. Bookies are in the business of making money, and you usually don't make money by putting the guy who's gone almost 20 years undefeated as an underdog.

Talking about TBE is pointless. The people against don't even realize how the compliment. Like Master is arguing against but when he lists people to beat Floyd his list was entirely larger men. In a P4P argument that is not intended to be but it is a compliment.
Floyd is the absolute best of his era and there is no reasonable argument against that, that is good enough.

I'm not talking about a knock out but 8oz would of put a bit more sting on his shots and might of been a very different fight Oscar was very clever making floyds use 10oz. Don't matter anyway floyd beat him easy with 10s just found it strange he didn't want floyd to use 8s

Muhammid Ali is known and will be known throughout the world far longer than Floyd ever will be.

No doubt, Floyd's a great fighter. Truly earned his place in the HOF. Not the most exciting the past few years but I certainly appreciate every effort he puts on. Often I find defense just as, or more impressive than offense. Loved Tyson when he was at his defensive high. Did so many amazing things, when I see great defense, literally makes me laugh, in a good way, it can make a competent fighter look inept. Also, I love a great jab. It is no coincidence that Floyd and Wlad have two of the best jabs in boxing. It has been a large part of the success. Despite the crap fight, Manny did a decent job slowing Floyd's jab compared to his last few fights but he still got it in.
