Lennox was too mobile/skilled for one dimensional Vitali. Additionally, Vitali wasn't durable enough to last or wear Lennox out. Lewis was a great super heavyweight and ATG champ. Vitali was an excellent fight with solid fundamentals who knew how to fight tall effectively.

Your basing that comment on what ? he lost twice , once with a shoulder injury and once on cuts to Lewis.
A prime Lewis was given a close ride by the durable but much smaller Ray Mercer , no reason to think Vitali couldn't have gone 12 tough rounds.

Basing the comment on Lewis being able to punch holes in his face, the shoulder injury, the back injury...etc. at a minimum Vitalis skin doesn't hold up to Lewis' punches for twelve rounds. I'm fairly confident making that prediction based on historical data...

He stayed looking for other fights that did not materialize. He didn't want to fight Vitali again. That's his choice but if he had retired right away nobody could question his choice not to rematch, since he stayed looking for fights the choice not to rematch should be questioned.

Definitely. Lewis was soooooo lucky that his fists found Vitalis face so often and opened up all of those holes. If only Lennox hadn't punched him in the face so much, he would've lost. Then to retire like he did after stopping Vitali, definitely suspect. He was lucky to land all of those punches and then he wants to retire after that stoppage win?!?!?!?

Lewis was only really looking for a rematch against Tyson for the huge money. Vitali did not offer him that. No harm in assessing all his options. Lewis made the right decision and we should all be happy for him.

It's like saying Vitali would have had him if Lewis wasn't allowed to punch back but in that fight Vitali could not absorb Lewis' punches without suffering fight ending injuries. He couldn't survive and that's the end if it. If he had better skin he wouldn't
get cut and equally if Khan had a better chin he wouldn't keep he getting knocked out & if Lomachenko was 6 stone heavier he'd be a heavyweight etc etc.
