He was a monster in his day. I only saw him once about two years ago, he did a small show at the University here. Was frail and couldn't play for very long but still had a strong voice and great band with him, it was fun. Check this out if you haven't seen it Beanz, there is a full DVD of the sing sing prison concert that's worth downloading, really cool atmosphere for the blues that's for sure. His playing is at it's peak here imo.
Yes, heard this late last night. I hope his passing was peaceful. I saw him a handful of times and a few different Blues festivals. Most of the times I saw him he was passed his prime, couldn't sing for shit but Damon he could still play. When I had my band together we did a lot of blues.John Hooker was my favorite but BB had such an impact on the blues we would always do something by him. I think he had seventeen kids or something crazy like that. Long live the King.
B.B. King was and shall forever remain a legend and I hope he's having one hell of a jam session right now.
The King is dead, long live the King!

Rest easy legend, and we'll always hear Lucille. Managed to bend my stubborn musical ear when they needed it the most. Long live the King![]()
