    You teach power. Very very few guys are born with power AND the ability/skill to apply it. The 'punchers are born' idea is nonsensical.
    Same with the concept of letting a fighter find a way to make his footwork/balance work on his own. You teach it, very specifically and directly. Until he does it textbook. Then you help him find his adjustments; usually this will involve him being short or tall.
    If you are calling yourself a trainer and telling guys to find something that works...

    Understand biomechanics , a good way is go for a walk, a slow one. understand what is happening and why.
