Froch v Golovkin

How much does Froch have left physically and mentally? Personally I don't think he really wants to fight anymore and was hoping for that one cash cow in Vegas that left via the hands of Fonfara. The chance of being laid out like a carpet in his final fight in Vegas is most likely not very appealing at this stage in his career. Oh his right hand could make the difference early in the fight but this looks all wrong for a guy in Carls position.

For the Kazak, should he beat Carl he will be accused of beating up a worn out x-champion for name rec by his skeptics. There is nothing left at 160 as its pretty obvious that the Wbc is not going to enforce its own rules so he might as well move on. If I were him I'd test the waters and then call out Ward

Hows Froch Worn though? Hes coming off one of the best wins of his career and is in fine physical shape.

Fair enough but to me he looked sluggish in both Groves fights even with the ko and with all due respect to George, he should have never troubled Carl. More importantly to me is where he is at in his head because it would add to what I think is a physical decline. He's got nothing left to prove, is a throwback in the truest sense of the word, has a new and expanded family (that he seems torn about) and has let his tin slip away. He's also made it pretty well known that he'd like a final in Vegas. Its just the wrong guy to pick as your last hoorah.

Thats why I dont see it happening unless there is silly money involved. Or Froch really does get the hunger back. I just dont see that at the minute. Robert McCracken still thinks he might box on though.
