So which did you steal from Bowe? It's a waste of time asking because it must be round 10. 1,2, 3, 9, and 12 are just too f'n obvious. Will you please explain HTF you gave Holy round 10?
from memory I think I may have Bowe winning but the perception was he was lazy and compared to the first fight he was not as dominate with that jab. Holyfield also had a nice rhythm with the combination after the delay and won most of the rounds.

He was lazy, but when he used it the jab was dominant snapping Evanders head back over and over. It was a piss poor performance really as Bowe looked gassed by the 5th. The announcers were questioning his training. But I suggest you watch it again. When Bowe jabbed he controlled the fight. I was surprised with my score when I was finished. I had it a draw but Holys rounds were much closer. Of 1,2,3, 9, 10, 12 round 10 is the only one that was close and it wasn't that close.

I agree it was close fight and that means Holyfield may have deserved the decision. It was not a robbery but a close fight. Bowe's jab caused major problems for Evander but when Holyfield got past that jab and landed his combinations he was perceived to be winning the rounds.

Again perception was Bowe should easily win against the smaller and older fighter but did not do enough, even as champion, to dominate the underdog we all love.

I don't think of it as a robbery. I just was surprised that I think it is impossible to give to Holy. I thought he won it 7-5 but going back I just can't see how any of the rounds I keep listing could possibly go to Holy. They seem quite clear. I thought of it as a fight where Holy won the night more than the fight. But upon rewatching I don't think he won the night. He did throw the flashier punches, he was the more exciting fighter, and Bowe did look undertrained and ragged. But if you land more, cleaner and harder you win rounds. I was surprised who I kept giving rounds to and thinking "that wasn't close". I watch fights every day as I shower and shave etcetera. I don't score fights when I do this, it's just a chance to watch more fights. But after the first 3 were so clearly to Bowe because Holy did nothing I wondered. So I kept score. I didn't remember this fight as being even controversial. But it is.

You are going to make me watch the fight again arnt you?

What about Lennox v Holyfield 2, that was close and should have been controversial but because of the robbery in the first fight they did not make a fuss about it.

Hadn't had a chance to watch LL/Holyfield II until today. I scored it for LL again. Him taking the early rounds, Evander coming on in the middle rounds, LL wrapping it up by taking 10 and 11 and Evander pulling it closer by taking the 12th. I can see 7-5 or 8-4 depending on which way a person goes with swing rounds. To be fair and clear though I don't favor guys trying to steal rounds rather than trying to win them outright, and that seemed to be Evanders MO against the super heavyweights. I can see people that favor flash giving Evander more credit than I do in scoring.
