Edwin Rodriquez up next, dirty one. They should name him Chunky. Bet he blew weight again![]()

Good fight that was, really was expecting Dirrell to win it. 114-112 was about right. The Canadian judge must've had his view obstructed by another fight. DeGale had to finish strongly to get it, and I'm glad it didn't come down to that dodgy second knockdown that I thought was harsh.

Wow. Bad stoppage. Rodriquez looks like Merqui Sosa...minus the coordination
Boo on beginning a bout on live tv and then cutting off for network timeframes

Who won?

Much love to DeGale. I really thought Dirrell was going to win this fight. Very close fight but the right fighter won. A rematch wouldn't be a bad idea.

Rodriguez won. Baker wasn't even in trouble; just taking shots on the gloves along the ropes.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

I agree, but you have to wonder what the hell was Baker thinking when he was leaning against the ropes letting his opponent bang away? Was he thinking I look good, I'm really scoring points now, or was he just not thinking? Not being a well known fighter, he made a mistake when he expected the ref to give him the benefit of the doubt. It happens, but not to Baker again I'm thinking.

Oh of course I wasn't making any commentary one way other whether it was not art of a master plan. I agree with you. Was just filling in the happenings for grey who asked who won. I agree with you though about bakers mindset. Baker should have had the impression that this was a free promo for Rodriguez, and been trying to play spoiler. I thought the 2 big shots that landed before that(3 if you count the last grazing shot) might have put barker In a bad position but he seemed to be weathering the storm and waiting for Rodriguez to gas. I definitely wouldn't have gambled with the no frills officials overseeing the bout.

DeGaleRodriquez gets tko after loading up about 8 right hands, Craig baker still defending and no signs of hurt. Disoriented Ref just stumbles in and stops it without saying a word in 3rd.
Baker weighed 293lbs as a football player according to announce..now 170. Wow!

I agree with you about the stoppage, and maybe the ref is past his pull date, but the fault has to be shared by the fighter too. I was thinking, he better watch out the ref might stop the fight, and he did. Letting your opponent bang you around on the ropes is a stupid thing to do, especially when you are a little known fighter.
293-170=123, what's the big deal? Lol
