Good fight that was, really was expecting Dirrell to win it. 114-112 was about right. The Canadian judge must've had his view obstructed by another fight. DeGale had to finish strongly to get it, and I'm glad it didn't come down to that dodgy second knockdown that I thought was harsh.

Pretty much spot on that post, you have to give it to Dirrell, he looked like he was going to get blown away after that second round but he did well to get back into it and keep it a really close fight

DeGale won the fight he let Dirrell off the hook, Andre is a class fighter the knock downs gave
DeGale a 10-7 round. But all in all James won the fight.

Wow. Bad stoppage. Rodriquez looks like Merqui Sosa...minus the coordination

Boo on beginning a bout on live tv and then cutting off for network timeframes

I dont think Degale has the melon for it and he brings nothing to the table that is better then Dirrell.

Much love to DeGale. I really thought Dirrell was going to win this fight. Very close fight but the right fighter won. A rematch wouldn't be a bad idea.

Rodriguez won. Baker wasn't even in trouble; just taking shots on the gloves along the ropes.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Baker weighed 293lbs as a football player according to announce..now 170. Wow!

Flippin hell. That surely was not the Dirrell I was thinking of.

    Is there three of them

Good fight and well done long boat. Bloody almost blew it though. I'm sure he didn't throw one straight left hand, even in orthodox stance.

Really glad Degale won, I was hoping he was saving up for the last couple of rounds. Maybe that Canadian judge was judging foul language too.
Saturday afternoon on public TV and these two are talking to each other during the fight, I didn't hear what Degale was saying but I could hear what Dirrell was saying. If he lost a few points for a motherfucker or two, good for you Canadian judge.

One of you Brits should talk to Degale about slowing down during the middle rounds, there's a fine line between exciting and torturous fights. That close of a fight is more torture than excitement, in my opinion. lol

I agree with you about the stoppage, and maybe the ref is past his pull date, but the fault has to be shared by the fighter too. I was thinking, he better watch out the ref might stop the fight, and he did. Letting your opponent bang you around on the ropes is a stupid thing to do, especially when you are a little known fighter.
293-170=123, what's the big deal? Lol

I agree, but you have to wonder what the hell was Baker thinking when he was leaning against the ropes letting his opponent bang away? Was he thinking I look good, I'm really scoring points now, or was he just not thinking? Not being a well known fighter, he made a mistake when he expected the ref to give him the benefit of the doubt. It happens, but not to Baker again I'm thinking.

Oh of course I wasn't making any commentary one way other whether it was not art of a master plan. I agree with you. Was just filling in the happenings for grey who asked who won. I agree with you though about bakers mindset. Baker should have had the impression that this was a free promo for Rodriguez, and been trying to play spoiler. I thought the 2 big shots that landed before that(3 if you count the last grazing shot) might have put barker In a bad position but he seemed to be weathering the storm and waiting for Rodriguez to gas. I definitely wouldn't have gambled with the no frills officials overseeing the bout.
