Agreed. I think that Chop is a damned fine fighter...but he does often fall short in the big games...& that's a crying shame.

Then again...you could say the same about Lil' June bug.

i want Witter to win... not because of future match ups but because in a fan of Witter... he hes had a hard time in the shadow of Hatton IMO

I like Witter also...he's due for his shot at the top...but I truly believe that he'll be in Hatton's shadow till the end...& if they fight...he'll surely be in Hatton's shadow...on his back & most likely under the bulbs of some arena in Manchester.

That's the problem with douche bags like that...they talk all that smack after the guy's just gutted it out in the ring. No respect. It's one thing to raise hell at home & toss a bottle at the tube...but I hate to see/hear fans boo a man who's just gotten bloody & gutty in the ring for their amusement as their chants can be heard all around the arena.

People do that to Chris Byrd all the time...& I hate it. Tactially & technically...he's a beaut...but no power brings out the worst from a knockout hungry crowd.

hes a good UK fighter who i hope shines tonight but its a brave fight hes taking and full credit to him for doing so.... because if he loses there nowhere for him to go

Once Hatton is gone...Witter could possibley be "somebody" but until then...he needs to just chump up.

Honestly...I wouldn't be totally shocked at an upset against Corley...but Corley is getting on in the years when you look at his battles & how he's faired.

It all started after Hatton had just won the British title against Jon Thaxton. (in an absolute war - Both fighters cut and brused like never before)

Hatton was being interviewed and being respectful to everyone as per usual when Witter stole the mic from from the interviewer and starting slagging hatton off.

He then slagged him off at every opportunity and during every interview for about 2 years.

thats why he gets slated when he fights in manchester and he deserves it IMO. As a boxer a rate him but as a person he is a complete to$$er!!

then Ricky turned up at Witters next fight and got in the ring at the end doing some fancy boxing footwork to the roars of the crowd hahahaha.

im a fan of both fighters so one inserdent wont taint my view on Ricky or Witter

I think Corley will win this one. I want Witter 2 win it afterall he's a bradford lad and bradford is only a 3 mile away. Just wish he wasn't so cocky.

You know, Witter in preperation for this fight sparred with Thomas Daamgard.. He has also looked very bad in his last 2 fights. Corley is mayweathers sparring partner and he will have Roger and FLoyd in his corner. Im pretty sure he can pull this off.

but that was 6 years ago and i've stopped judging fights on that after seeing what Joe did to Lacy... but make no mistake Witter has a very hard job to do tonight... its gonna be refreshing watching a fight that i just dont really have a clue whos gonna win

What do you mean, you stopped judging fights on common opponents after Joe vs LAcy?? If so I don't really think it's the same scenario... Robin Reid was clearly in nowhere near prime fighting shape, he didn't even spar much for Lacy and it was 6-7 years after he gave Calzaghe a run.. In this case Zab probably was an accurate measuring stick but like you say Witter wasn't prepared this time so it still doesn't mean alot.. I just feel Witter is very flawed and isn't the same pedigree of fighter as Corley.. the Mayweathers will have a game plan cut out for him, not so sure Witter will be able to come with his own.

Chop Chop can crack and I can't stand Witter so I'm goin with Corley by KO. Despite wearing ladies underwear, Corley is a pretty good guy from what I can tell. I heard he must continue fighting to support his dead brother's 12 kids. Witter is a cocky jerk so hopefully Corley can catch him and humble him. Damn shame we don't get to see the fight over here in the U.S.
