Against Alexander he showed big improvement now this fight he has regressed? Bit harsh. Maybe it's just about styles.

Khan/his team never expected Algieri to come out on the front foot constantly pressuring him in a million years. Coupled with Algieri's size advantage (height and reach) and good speed it made it a tough style matchup for Khan.

Khan is clearly not a big puncher at this weight.

He wouldn't get through 12 rounds with Porter let alone Brook or Thurman.

We should be asking, have we been underestimating Algieri? The majority of us were complaining about Khan picking a weak opponent. Now we're thinking he almost bit off more than he could chew.
It was a gamble on Khan's part and it didn't turn out well.

I don't think he's gotten worse, he's the same guy he always was: enormous physical talent, mediocre boxing IQ. That's why we've seen him get KO'd and have close fights with guys he should have blown out.

Cadillac body and a Volkswagen brain with Khan. He is still the same overrated, bigmouthed jerk fighter he has always been. And no he does not deserve a shot at Mayweather who would eat him alive and probably score a rare knockout against the Brit. Say what you want but Danny Garcia should get a shot at the Money man.

The fact is Khan has ALWAYS been mostly attributes. Without his speed, he's just a fighter with a glass jaw, average power, and low ring IQ.

I don't think he's gotten worse, he was just overrated and we are just realising how much we had overrated him.

the thing is that he had some impressive wins early in his career. he easily beat zab and paulie who are both solid fighters and he convincingly beat maidana IMO at least. he even looked good against garcia until he got hit. maybe it is what some say. he is just more conservative which makes him look worse although he has less of a chance of getting KO'd.

and no, i dont think that algieri is anything special. he is a decent fighter who has gotten fortunate to land the fights he has.
