So lets enjoy Joshua for what he is , a young athlete with lots of potential, maybe not the real deal but exciting to watch and humble with it.
You say Tyson is out of shape. Do you mean he doesnt have a homoerotic sculpted body? He does a decent paced 12 rounds fine.

On the Bayloric youtube channel Peter Fury said Tyson visited the gym to spar Johnson in prep for this fight as a favour to Johnson. He was 21 stone apparently and Johnson couldnt last 30 seconds with him so Peter told him to just go home as theres no point being there.

Tyson may not give you a stiffy with his abs and muscular arms but he moves well and fluid and can fight a fast pace over 12. If thats not being in shape what is?

He has a good engine but he isn't in top physical shape , no athlete carrys that much fat around the waist. He may fight at an even better pace if he lost some of the fat around his waist.

Agreed he may be even better carrying less excess but as you just admitted, its undeniable hes one of the fittest heavies around today. Stiverne and Arreola didnt get any criticism for the blubber they carry and they are in fat worse shape than Tyson, even Pulev and Povetkin carry excess.

Im almost certain that if a fighter can get Joshua past 4 rounds he will start to look very ordinary and will visibly tire.

Theres no evidence of this. He went 12 rounds twice both were against opponents who couldnt put any pressure on him. He boxed completely at his own pace. This is completely different then fighting a guy like Wlad who is constantly throwing punches at you. He may well be fit but going the distance with Johnson and Chisora doesnt prove that.

Theres no doubt Joshua could have gone 12 with Johnson if he wanted.

    On what evidence?

He was never going to have to go 12 with Johnson but I think you are going to be surprised at how much his training effects his stamina in the first fight he is taken the distance.

On the evidence that Johnson doesnt throw punches. Its not hard throwing 30 jabs and a dozen right hands a round. Thats all Joshua would have to do to go the distance. Pull his punches a bit and anytime Johnsn gets brave put him in his place. If he can do 20 rounds in sparring he can do 12 against a bum.

I really dont know where you come up with some of this stuff Ross. Because hes in shape hes over training? Seriously why do you hate guys who are in shape? Hes a breath of fresh air for the heavyweight division and has passed every test so far. You seemed to think that Johnson would last some rounds but Joshua blew him away. You can try say Johnson was worse than you expected but in fairness thats how he always fights. He is muck like 99% of the heavyweights out there.

Just because Johnson may not throw alot of punches doesnt mean Joshua still may not have tired. Hes falling in love with his power like Haye did and is throwing everything. I thought he looked a little gassed in the second after a burst as he didnt continue to throw like Eubank Jr did in the 12th against Chudinov. 4 or 5 rounds of trying to stop Johnson after never fighting beyond 3 rounds and he would have been tired.

Where do I get this from? From watching fighters tire them selves out believing they are destroyers, like Haye and Price.

That has nothing to do with fitness though? You can be the fittest person in the world and still punch yourself out. If Fury threw a lot of power shots hed gas too.

Regarding Joshua looking gassed? He didnt even look out of breath

Take of your blinkers with regards to fury and Eubank , so you are now comparing a 6'6 230lb HW , to a MW ?
Joshua hasn't put a foot wrong yet as a pro , lets wait and see if he is the real deal or not.

Neither has Lee Selby, but you're prepared to write him off as a paper champ who'll be exposed as soon as he fights a live body? Despite his shitness Selby is British, Commonwealth, Euro and now World champion.

You cant have it both ways mate.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
