    ~ The Skinny ~

    Mike Quarry, who has been living in Anchorage, Alaska for 2-Months now, has
    his 1st-Bout in 3 1/2 Months {since December 11, 1976}.

    Fred Wallace is a 'hired opponent' from Dallas, Texas. Fred was a sparring-partner
    for Mike when he was campaigning in Houston, Texas.

    ~ Mike Quarry Wins In Alaska ~

    Mike Quarry had an 'easy-time' in the Ring, as he won a convincing 10-Round Decision
    over a reluctant opponent in Fred Wallace.

    Quarry took the initiative from the Opening Bell, and controlled the bout by scoring with
    repeated left-jabs to the head, and quick left-hooks to the body of the Dallas visitor.

    Wallace was reduced to a 'catcher' by Round 5, as he offered up a very little in the way
    of offense, other than an occasional right-hand.

    Quarry tried to get Wallace to fire back, as he laid on the Ropes during Rounds 6 and 7,
    and let the Dallas fighter hit him.

    In Round 8, Quarry returned to the offensive by tossing 'two-punch' combinations, and
    had his opponent backing away over the last 3-Rounds. Only Quarry's lack of punching
    power prevented him from scoring a 'late' TKO stoppage.

    Scorecards
    * 99-92 = {8-1-1 in Rounds} > Mike Quarry
    * 99-92 = {8-1-1 in Rounds} > Mike Quarry
    * 99-93 = {7-1-2 in Rounds} > Mike Quarry

    Fight Purses
    * Mike Quarry ........ $3158 > {25% of the Gate Receipts}
    * Fred Wallace ........ $900 > {Plus Travel and Hotel Expenses}
