    I used to have a book called Italian Stallions all about Italian boxers. Pretty good.

    Because it's Italians not Americans with Italian heritage.

    Americans seem to be the only people that say things like 'oh I'm Irish' or 'I'm Italian' when they are patently American. We would refer to ourselves as being British but with Italian blood/heritage for example.
    Of course if you were born in Italy for instance to Italian parents, then moved to America you could reasonably say you were 'Italian'.
