F*cking bullshit...... and you're an expert at it.

Cotto blew out Geale. Live with it.

    Canelo next.
He wasn't stuttering when asked about Golovkin either

Some stutter...... others vaguely say they'll face GGG someday in the future.
The ball is in Cotto's hands. Alvarez is ready to go. He'll see his family afterwards. Lets see how long Cotto "spends with his family" before he's ready to go
They're absolute nailed on guaranteed to fight each other next. It's a massive HBO PPV event. Mexico against Puerto Rico. And I think Alvarez wins. And I think Cotto probably thinks at the very least he has a good chance of losing too. But he'll still make the fight.

If it goes to points and is remotel close they'll do it again too. I don't think either of them fancy fighting Golovkin.
I can picture Alvarez-Golovkin happening. I have a real hard time seeing Golovkin-Cotto happening

I can picture Alvarez-Golovkin happening when Golovkin gets older. GGG looked like he was running out of steam in the second half of his last fight. If he looks like he's slowing down and age is catching up with him in his next fights then Team Canelo will fancy it. If he goes to England and takes a battering losing on points or lin the late rounds to Froch then they may fancy it.

Not much difference physically. GGG one inch taller. Alvarez half an inch more reach. May be slightly out with these numbers though.

Cotto has always been the number 1 target. Once that's over with the public will want Alvarez-Golovkin. Alvarez will give the public what it wants

At least Cotto provides entertainment and knocks out his opponents. Some very rich fighters can not knock anyone out and run to stop any entertainment.

At something other than middleweight, yes. Maybe in a couple of fights time.

Headbutt left hook combo was a thing of beauty.

Although the highlight was when Cotto contemplated faking that he forgot English when Max asked him about GGG.

So now Geale is garbage eh. You really cant make this shit up. The guy comes in as half a man to fight for a title he was not allowed to make weight for, looks like death warmed over at the weigh in and appears weakened from the opening bell. Why the need for a catch with this garbage? Why any celebration at all over this win? Its tainted tuna. The Hbo kissing ass after the fight was almost as bad as the script given to Geale. The real middleweight champion was barely mentioned and instead they concentrate on yet another non middleweight fight. So speaking of garbage, what kind of trash is he going to try and pass on to Alvarez? I mean Cotto was under 154. Whats he doing at 160 when he has no inclination of defending 160? Why does the establishment allow this open cheating?

    Garbage indeed.

That's what got me on rewatch. Not only did Kanye Cotto strip off the limit of division..he didn't even see fit to put on a 1/2 pound to at least come in at "middle" . This is just embarrassing...and here he was being fawned over as lineal, all time great, elite and compared to Joe fookin Frazier with classic hooks . Yes. Catchweight got out of control and became its own monstrosity and mockery and the establishment just sits slack jawed and plays along. Feeds the ruse. This is a slippery slope for a sport that is already laughed at and struggles to be taken seriously.

Wow! Geale was asked to lose 3 whole goddamn pounds below his normal fighting weight. That has to be a first in the history of boxing!! No wonder the hatemongers are out in force. I'm surprised there isn't a lynch mob in front of Cotto's house right now. Because no other fighter in history has asked for a catchweight... and no other fighter in history has agreed to a catchweight. Deplorable! Cotto didn't weight 160 for the fight? Unacceptable! He should've been force fed a double helping of lasagna and half a dozen chocolate milkshakes before the fight, to pump him up to 160. THEN we would've had a fair fight. Personally, I would ask for a Congressional inquiry into this whole stinking mess, in which I'm sure all Cotto's fellow professional boxers would turn state's witnesses in order to bring this cheater to justice.... and boxing can proceed with the order and normality that it currently does now.

Geale is a middleweight, he was apparently fighting for the middleweight title. Dragging him below the middleweight limit where he's bone dry is both reckless, dangerous and a black eye on boxing and any attempts it has made to improve fighter safety over the years.

I've had nothing but respect for Cotto throughout his career but on this occasion I view him as nothing more than a cheat and no better than a guy who comes to the ring jacked up to his eyeballs.

A disgraceful and dangerous act of cowardice. That goes for anyone who thought this was an OK thing to do.

To be fair it's the second time in big fights he's just quit. He looked at his corner like he wanted to quit after the first knockdown, looked exaclty the same way after the second KD and then did quit. He couldn't wait to get out of there. It did look like he was just there to pick up a paycheque.
